Whitewater city officials, in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater staff and students, will soon be offering a contest through which “budding entrepreneurs” can win money to put towards a business plan.

2021 Tax Increment District Development
City staff is working to identify prospective areas best suited for the next generation of Tax Increment Districts (TIDs). Several public meetings have been held to share progress with this effort, including a joint meeting of the Common Council, Community Development Authority, and Plan and Architectural Review Commission on May 5th. Whitewater Amends Zoning Ordinance
The Whitewater Council approved changing the zoning designation in the Whitewater University Technology Park. The lot at the intersection of Universal Boulveard and Technology drive will be re-zoned M1-Manufacturing. A developer plans to build a 40,000 square foot, single story warehouse on the lot.
